A NOTE FROM DEBORAH NEISIUS:   This resort is "brand new!"   I am
picky when it comes to lodging and in my opinion,
Royal Caribbean it is simply wonderful
and affordable!  The kitchens are not fully-equipped, but in my opinion there are too many
excellent restaurants on the island to bother cooking large meals in-house.  The pictures
DO NOT do it justice.  The cabanas are immaculate!  I have gone through every inch of this
resort personally.  I highly recommend staying here.  This resort was just built this year
(2006).  Each cabana is spacious, comfortable and comes with air-conditioning.  The bar
and restaurant (Fido's Sand Bar) just opened this summer and is run by one of the island's
most talented & successful restaurant owners.  The pool is breathtaking.  During low
season, the resort is peaceful and private.  During high season, it is a happening place!  It
is perfect for a group retreat, a dive group or even a Belize wedding group.  Furthermore,
many exciting activities are being added
as we speak including a beach driving range,
Sunday Pig Roast (with all the fixings),
Culinary classes, Miniature golf and much, much
more. The bottom line is Royal Caribbean Cabanas are a great value!  Here's what a
couple of recent guests have to say.....

My wife and I stayed at RCR for our honeymoon during the last week of May 2006. We were
pleased to discover that the photos on the website did not’t do justice to the charm of the
place. After looking at many of the other resorts on the island, we were very happy we’d
stayed where we had our own beachfront cabana instead of sharing walls with other
tourists. The cabanas were spacious, clean, and comfortable, if not luxurious. The air-
conditioning unit worked almost too well—we’d use it only briefly and mostly relied on the
effective ceiling fans and high ceilings to deal with the heat. The cabanas could use an
outside spigot to rinse off sand before going inside (a community spigot would work fine)...
The pool is the biggest and nicest that we saw on the island. Although we had it mostly to
ourselves (given the off-season), it would still be comfortable with many more guests. It was
cool to be in the pool and look toward the ocean—from this perspective it appeared that
only a tiny sliver of concrete separated the two bodies of water. The beach was small but
nice and the accumulated seagrass/seaweed was picked up every morning. There was too
much sea grass in the water to swim from the beach, but we did have fun wading in the
bare spots looking at fish and crabs. Work was continuing on the restaurant and area
surrounding the pool, so it looks to only improve in ambiance.... Also, the staff was very
accommodating and provided free rentals on the bikes (beach cruisers) so we could ride to
town for other restaurant options.  Across the board, the friendliness and hospitality of the
staff was a large part of our satisfaction with staying at Royal Caribbean. Ralph in particular
quickly and considerately responded to all our needs and concerns. He handled all the
arrangements for scuba diving training (complicated due to bad weather) and our river trip
to Lamanai (highly recommended), so all we had to do was show up on the pier to be
picked up. Also, we had a number of questions and requests over e-mail prior to our
arrival—all of these were handled promptly and thoroughly.  Two-thumbs up!

If you are looking for great value, this is the place. After our second time staying at Royal
Caribbean Resort... The place just gets better and better. We had air conditioned cabanas
and woke up to beach bowling at the bar/restaurant that completed construction just before
our arrival. Bikes are great for getting to town. The service was as good as the first time
and the weather was wonderful.

From high in the Rocky Mountains we arrived at RCR and were immediately delighted. If
you are able to entertain yourself with natural beauty, the largest pool on the island, comfy
chairs on the private beach, very clean and private cabanas, and a sense of being there,
check RCR. The kitchenettes were perfect for preparing papaya and fresh pineapples.
Fixing tea or coffee for a beach breakfast? Steps away !  We enjoyed the walks into town
as well as the after late dinner five dollar taxi ride home.  The reservation staff is excellent
and the on sight team headed by Yorum is the best. He always says," I want to keep my
guests happy."  We'll be back ! My wife and I enjoyed it immensely!
